Earlier this week, GPD hinted that its upcoming Win 5 gaming handheld could cost less than expected, particularly in view of the latest ROG Flow Z13 (curr. $2,299 on Amazon). On top of that, the company shared several videos highlighting various Win 5 features ahead of its launch.
Now, it has returned with full device specifications and official benchmark results. As the images below show, the GPD Win 5 will be configurable with up to an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU, 128 GB of LPDDR5x 8000 RAM and 4 TB of PCIe 4.0 x4 storage. Allegedly, the Win 5 can extract up to 120 W from its Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU too, although GPD chooses to compare the Radeon 8060S iGPU against mobile versions of the GeForce RTX 4060 and GeForce RTX 5050 at 55 W.
Moreover, GPD boasts that the Win 5 is much smaller than the Steam Deck despite featuring a 7-inch display and a more powerful processor. With that being said, the Win 5 officially weighs 915 g with its 80 Wh battery pack attached. Please see the images below for more information. Unfortunately, it still remains unclear how much the Win 5 will cost yet. For the time being, previous expectations put the gaming handheld's launch for sometime during October, likely through Indiegogo first outside China.
