The eufyCam E40 security camera has been listed on Amazon in various European countries. While it is similar in appearance to the eufyCam S330, which was released in 2024, the new security camera is a cheaper alternative from the Anker sub-brand.
Eufy’s E40 has a 4MP camera with an f/1.0 aperture and a 130° field of view. It captures video with a 2K resolution, a downgrade compared to the 4K resolution video of the S330. MaxColor Night Vision ensures you can clearly see what is happening in low lighting with three night modes on offer. A PIR sensor is used to detect motion and start recording footage, and there is also an AI facial recognition tool.
This is a wireless camera equipped with a 13,000mAh battery. The SolarPlus 2.0 panel fitted to the top of the device helps to reduce the need for charging; two hours of bright sunlight a day should allow the camera to run indefinitely. This security camera is compatible with the eufy HomeBase 2 with expandable local storage up to 16TB. Plus, the camera is compatible with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Assistant.
Customers are offered a bundle of two units of the eufyCam E40 and the HomeBase 2 for €299 at Amazon in countries like the France, Spain and Germany. This price is €250 lower than the €549 RRP for the equivalent bundle with the eufyCam S330, though this comes with the newer HomeBase 3. The eufyCam E40 Add On Camera is priced at €149. The product is also listed on Amazon UK, though the price here has yet to be revealed. It is unclear whether or when these products could be launched in the US.
