Coulisse unveils new Smart Frame blinds with Matter-compatible Eve motor
Coulisse has unveiled the Smart Frame blinds for windows and doors. The product is said to be the first solar-powered motorized pleated and honeycomb blind of its kind in the world. Features include a magnetic frame for “drill-free installation” and the ability to tilt or turn the window.
The Smart Frame was shown at R+T Stuttgart alongside its existing smart blind products. The entire Motionblinds range is powered by Eve MotionBlinds motors supporting Matter-over-Thread. This allows them to connect to various smart home ecosystems like Apple Home, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings and Amazon Alexa. You can adjust the blinds using a built-in button alongside the remote app-based controls and voice commands.
Another feature is adaptive shading, enabling the position of the blinds to adjust automatically based on detected sunlight, taking into account location and window orientation data. The blinds have an integrated battery, with an LED indicating the remaining battery level. A built-in solar panel powers the battery, with the backup option of recharging via USB-C. The Smart Frame won a Bronze Innovation Award at R+T, while the Adaptive Shading technology was given a Silver Innovation Award. The Coulisse Smart Frame is expected to launch later this year, though pricing has yet to be announced.
