The Casio G-Squad GMD-B300SC-2, GMD-B300SC-4 and GMD-B300SC-7 watches have been listed on the brand's international website, indicating that they could launch in countries worldwide. These previously rumored wearables have already been released in their first market, Japan.
The G-Shock GMD-B300SC watches allow users to track their step count thanks to the motion-sensing accelerometer. You can view the number of steps and progress towards your goal, as well as a chart on the wearable. Plus, collected data can be sent to your smartphone via Bluetooth, allowing you to view your step log in the Casio Watches app.
Other watch features include support for dual time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. An LED backlight helps you to read the display in low lighting, and the calendar is fully automatic to the year 2099. These watches are also shock-resistant and water-resistant to 20 bar, and will run for around two years on a CR2016 battery.
Each resin model has an octagonal watch face and colourful accents. The GMD-B300SC-2 is turquoise, the GMD-B300SC-4 coral orange and the GMD-B300SC-7 is white. These watches are already available in Japan in February for ¥17,600 (~$113). However, the pricing and release date for other markets remains to be seen.
