Motorola has been spotted updating its Moto G200 5G to a newer version of Android. The update has only rolled out to units of this competitive mid-ranger in Europe thus far, although it is said to expand to additional markets soon. The G200's users should thus expect an upgrade to features such as the Material You UI, re-done widgets and system shortcuts.

Motorola had announced a plan to upgrade 30 of its smartphones to Android 12. Now, it has made more progress toward this goal with an update for the Moto G200, which launched at a reasonable €450 price-point despite having a high-end Snapdragon 888+ processor and a 144Hz display.

This non-Chinese version of the Edge S30 has also started to exhibit some of the latest Android features Motorola has to offer, a Privacy Dashboard, Flip to DND and a re-designed notification shade included. They are accessible via the OTA being pushed to G200 units from now, albeit in just 1 region thus far.

It may be found under System Updates in the Settings > System > Advanced menu. However, for crafty, impatient G200 users, Motorola also provides a Rescue and Smart Assistant Tool that allows a user to flash new or replacement hardware to their phone using a PC.

Either way, this major systems upgrade (or S1RX32.50-13 firmware) is reportedly only available for the XT2175-1-DS variant of the Moto G200 located in Europe thus far. However, it may also be sent to units in the UK and Latin America over the next few weeks.
