Amazon announces July Prime Day event with smart home deals and over 30 free games
Amazon has announced that it will host its next Prime Day event on July 12 and 13, with deals across multiple smart home devices and free games. As in previous years, the offers will be available in countries including the US, Canada, the UK and Australia. Plus, the event will be available for the first time in Sweden and Poland.
So far, Amazon has confirmed that there will be offers from smart home brands such as iRobot, maker of Roomba robot vacuums and Braava robot mops. There will also be discounts from Amazon-owned brands on products like Ring security kits and the newly released Blink Video Doorbells and eero mesh Wi-Fi routers. Various Echo smart home hubs will be part of the sale, as will Fire TVs from Amazon, Insignia, Toshiba and Pioneer with up to 50% off.
The company has also said it will offer over 30 games for Amazon Prime members to claim via Prime Gaming. Titles in the two-day event include Mass Effect Legendary Edition, GRID Legends, Need for Speed Heat and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Starting from June 21, 25 indie games will be available, such as Death Squared, Fatal Fury Special, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Gone Viral, Hue, Metal Slug 2, Pumped BMX Pro, Samurai Shodown II, The Darkside Detective and The King of Fighters 2002.
