The Amazfit Bip 6 smartwatch is reportedly receiving another update: software version 3.1.2.1. This wearable was launched in March 2025 and has already received bug fixes with the recent version 3.0.8.3 release.
The latest update brings four changes for the Amazfit Bip 6. Firstly, the brightness of the always on display (AOD) mode has been increased to help you to read the display in bright lighting. Plus, the notification icon can now be displayed when the watch is in standby AOD mode; users should be able to switch this on or off in Settings > Display > Always On.
Another listed feature is support for a double tap to wake the screen, with reports suggesting that a single tap version of this tool is also available. Finally, the Bip 6 gains Glove mode, a feature which arrived with the Balance 2 smartwatch. This is said to make it easier for users to use touch controls when wearing gloves.
This appears to be a phased release for users of the Amazfit Bip 6 smartwatch (curr. $79.99 at Amazon). When it is available in your region, you will be able to download software version 3.1.2.1, a 12.79 MB file, through the Zepp app. To trigger the installation process, go to Profile > Amazfit Bip 6 > System Update.
