The bar for high refresh rate monitors currently sits at 610 Hz with only an Asus and an AOC offering. The latter has added another variant to the list with the Agon Pro CS24A but this one is part of an interesting partnership with Counter Strike 2. The monitor has a unique colorway and branding, along with some features that make it stand out from the competition, and possibly your gaming setup as well.
MSI showed off some new monitors at Computex that were capable of 600 Hz and Benq also has a 600 Hz offering under its Zowie brand. Asus was able to achieve 610 Hz with its ROG Strix ACE XG248Q5G and AOC jumped in with its Agon Pro AG246FK6 that can be overclocked to 610 Hz.
Agon Pro CS24A specifications and features
Now, the CS24A-aoc, which can also be overclocked to 610 Hz, brings a 24-inch screen size and a full-HD resolution. It has an IPS panel with 0.5ms GTG and 0.3ms MPRT response time. With MBR+ or motion blur reduction and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility, it should deliver a sharp tear-free gaming experience.
Coming to the CS2 partnership, the black frame of the monitor is held up by a golden stand with CS2 branding on the base. It has a folding headphone stand at the back of the display and cable management hooks on the stand. In terms of functionality, there is a CS2 mode that supposedly optimizes gamma, reduces input lag, and tweaks a couple other settings for the best possible FPS experience.
Agon Pro CS24A price and availability
The Agon Pro CS24A will be available globally in September for £599 (about $792 USD). An exact date is unclear at this point. The Agon Pro AG246FK6, which was unveiled back in March, will go on sale from August for the same price.
