A reputable industry insider has leaked two-year-old screenshots of a yet-to-be-released Silent Hill game. Konami indirectly confirmed the legitimacy of the said screenshots by issuing a copyright strike. The game will also send players SMS messages as a part of the charade.

Rumours about a new Silent Hill game have been floating around for the better part of the past ten years or so, ever since word about Kojima Productions' now-cancelled Silent Hills got out. Konami's stoic silence on the matter didn't help much either. Yet another Silent Hill centric leak surfaced online, this time via a renowned industry insider Dusk Golem.

The leak showcases four images from a yet-to-be-announced Silent Hill game, one of which is an official-looking letter written in Japanese. The other three images are reportedly from a 2020 iteration of the project and likely not a representation of how the final product will look.

While this might seem like a run-of-the-mill Silent Hill leak seen online often, several cues hint at its credibility. For one, Konami has copyright striked the images, which have then been reshared elsewhere. This alone gives legitimacy to the accuracy of the leak.

Furthermore, Dusk Golem mentions "SMS Messages" in passing. Back in 2019, another game developer/industry insider Alanah Pearce let slip that the upcoming Silent Hill game would take immersion to an entirely new level by sending you text messages from the game.

Bloober Team is reportedly developing the upcoming Silent Hill game. The studio has showcased its horror game making abilities with The Medium, and it'll be interesting to see how many elements of the game will show up in Silent Hill.
