Redmi Note 11 tipped to arrive globally with a Snapdragon 680 onboard
Xiaomi debuted the Redmi Note 11 series a while ago in China, with all three devices featuring MediaTek chipsets. While MediaTek makes great hardware these days, some fans have been looking forward to a global release with Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoCs, and it appears at least one such device could be on the way.
As revealed by tipster Chun, apparently Xiaomi is working on a new variant of the Redmi Note 11. The device is expected to be the Redmi Note 11 global version and is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 680. While the Dimensity-powered Redmi Note 11 phones all have 5G support, the Snapdragon 680 is limited to 4G connectivity.
After launching the Helio G88-powered Redmi Note 11 4G in China, Xiaomi seems set to launch a Redmi Note 11 4G in India as well. The company has a history of selling phones with the same branding but different hardware in the Indian market, however, so this wouldn't be particularly novel. Other than the Snapdragon 680, we expect specs parity with the Dimensity-powered Redmi Note 11. Supposedly, the phone will be sold with a US$199 price tag, at least in 4/64 GB configuration.
Redmi Note 11 global version will have another 4G version with Snapdragon 680 and will be price at 5 million Dong ($215) which from what we know, cheaper quite a lot than the realme 9i using the same chip (will tell y'all the price in upcoming days)https://t.co/kSWxHaI5Td pic.twitter.com/Eaj8fOMv5r
