MagyarOfficial Chuwi CoreBook X Pro page is misleading and embarrassingly full of errors
It's not uncommon for online stores to have a typo or two regarding product specifications especially for items like laptops where the specifications can fill an entire page. However, seeing multiple errors on an official page directly from the manufacturer will certainly raise some eyebrows. The Chuwi CoreBook X Pro homepage has a handful of errors as of this writing that potential buyers should be aware of.
The first error relates to the resolution of the display. The top of the page claims a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 which would imply a 16:10 aspect ratio. In reality, however, the display is 16:9 for an actual native resolution of 1920 x 1080.
The second error relates to the "eight copper tubes for cooling" that accompany the dual fans. Unless if there are additional heat pipes we just don't see, we can only count two on our test model as shown by the image below.
The third error relates to the HDMI port where the manufacturer is claiming "Micro HD2.0" to imply a Micro-HDMI port. In reality, the port is full-size HDMI.
The fourth error can be found on the specifications list where the manufacturer is claiming a "Micro SD" slot. In reality, the system integrates a full-size SD slot meaning users will need their own adapter for inserting MicroSD cards.
We're still in the middle of testing a CoreBook X Pro unit from the manufacturer and so we can provide our own data in the coming days. At least the official weight of 1780 g appears to be correct. Until then, most of the details on the official product page should be taken with a grain of salt.
