Even after the update to iOS 15.4.1, some iPhone owners have unfortunately suffered from a few annoying problems with the synchronization of iMessages as well as the location services in some of Apple's stock apps, which apparently do not work as intended for users in at least one region.

Apple's recently released iOS 15.4.1 software update mainly included some minor bug fixes, one of which for example put an end to the increased standby battery drain that affected numerous iPhone users. Unfortunately, the small software update has not fixed certain other issues, one of which appears to be particularly curious.

According to a report by the German publication iPhone-Ticker, several users of Apple's smartphones have for example complained about issues regarding the synchronization of iMessages, which results in messages sent from other devices being absent or only appearing after a significant delay on the affected iPhones. Turning the iMessage function on and off has not remedied this apparent iOS 15.4.1 bug.

Furthermore, there appears to be a more or less isolated issue under iOS 15.4.1 that affects the location services in stock apps like "Weather" and "Find My". More precisely, iPhone users from the Cologne, Germany area have confirmed that these apps sometimes show a location that is miles away from their actual location, even though other apps are accurately showing their position.

Only a rather time-consuming factory reset is supposed to help with this particular issue. It remains to be seen if Apple will fix these admittedly small iOS 15.4.1 bugs with another upcoming software update, or if the Cupertino-based tech giant can resolve them with server-based changes.
