iPhone 14 Pro: Camera details of Apple's next-gen flagship phones surface in the wild
Over the past few months, it's been all but confirmed that Apple will finally make the switch from a 12 MP camera to a bigger 48 MP shooter on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Leaked measurements of the iPhone 14 Pro support that idea as well, and a new leak now purports to reveal even more details of the phones' camera prowess.
As revealed by a Chinese source, the iPhone 14 Pro models will be equipped with a 48 MP main camera. This sensor appears to be a brand new one, as it's said to have a 1/1.3-inch physical size and a 1.22 μm native sensor size. As with all sensors like this, the iPhone 14 Pro phones will output 12 MP images by default, thanks to 4-in-1 pixel binning.
Specs-wise, this sensor looks to be quite similar to the 50 MP ISOCELL GN1, albeit with some minor differences. The GN1 has been used on several devices including the Meizu 18s Pro, Vivo X70 Pro+, and most notably, the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
