Users in the US finally have a way to bypass RTX 5090/RTX 5080 scalpers and buy their GPUs directly from Zotac. But, the process is RNG based and demands you to be active on Zotac's Discord server.

Much like the 30 series launch from 2020, the current crop of RTX 50 series GPUs are being heavily scalped, with entire lots being scooped up within seconds of launch. To counter that, Zotac has come up with a novel solution. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, this is only applicable to residents of the United States.

The company has essentially turned the process of acquiring a GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs into a game in itself. You need to join their Discord server and "actively engage in challenges, discussions, and community activities." Essentially, the more high-quality engagement you deliver, the higher your chance of you getting picked. Do note this only offers you the opportunity to purchase a graphics card, not get one for free.

Eligible users will get a limited time to purchase their shiny new RTX 5090 or RTX 5080. Zotac has also restricted purchases to one per household to give everyone a fair chance. Users found scalping GPUs will be barred from future raffles. As of now, only GeForce RTX 5080 units are available, with no word about when RTX 5090 stocks will arrive.
