A little more than a week after the biggest size variant of the current C4 was put on sale for a record-low price, OLED enthusiasts can now benefit from another remarkable deal for an LG OLED TV. More precisely, the LG G3 from 2023 has received a steep discount that turns it into a potential bargain for buyers with a huge living room.
As already indicated, this deal applies to the 83-inch LG G3 OLED, which is the biggest version of the previous-gen flagship television. Originally, this well-rounded home theater screen carried an official price tag of $6,499. Fortunately, the reputable online retailer Greentoe is currently selling the huge LG OLED TV for just $3,399 including free shipping. As always, Greentoe only works with authorized dealers who are shipping brand-new units with full manufacturer warranty.
Even more than one and a half years after its debut, this is still a very television with an excellent picture quality. That said, the 83-inch LG G3 OLED does not feature the MLA layer that is found on all other SKUs. As a result, it doesn't get quite as bright as the smaller models, which can reach up to 1,400 nits in HDR mode according to Rtings' detailed review.
Although the 120Hz panel should still get fairly close to a peak of 1,000 nits, absolute HDR enthusiasts might want to wait for a decent deal for the successor. Right now, the 83-inch G4 is selling for quite unreasonable $4,997 on Amazon, which is why most TV buyers might want to save almost $1,600 or 32 percent by opting for the still capable LG G3 OLED TV. Instead, those savings are better invested into a decent Dolby Atmos soundbar.
