Relatively reliable leaks come not only from insider information, but also from databases maintained by government agencies, such as those responsible for issuing declarations of device compliance. One well-known example in this regard is the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Put simply, electrical devices with radio technology must be able to prove that their products do not negatively impact other wireless data transmission. There are corresponding specifications for this, and such databases are often accessible to everyone.
According to a media report, three additional entries can be found in the GSMA database, specifically referring to devices with the model numbers 25128PC17L, 25128PC17G and 25128PC17I. As reported by XiaomiTime, these three models are likely to refer to the same device, but for different markets, namely Latin America, the global market and India. These certifications do not provide any precise technical specifications, but it is clear that there will be a SIM card slot, which means that the three models will have cellular connectivity.
Xiaomi is named as the manufacturer that will launch these models, and a brand name can also be found, namely the Poco brand. XiaomiTime speculates, citing leaked information on the internal model designation, about a release as Poco Pad SE or Poco Pad 4G or Poco Pad 5G. The listing suggests a release in the near future, although a release next year is also not unlikely.
