Xiaomi tipped to launch four new MediaTek-powered smartphones with up to a Samsung ISOCELL HM3 108 MP camera
@xiaomiui has found more references to future Xiaomi smartphones in MIUI code. According to the Twitter account, Xiaomi plans to release four new MediaTek-powered smartphones, all back by high-resolution primary cameras. Unfortunately, the release names of the devices remain unknown at this stage.
Similarly, @xiaomiui has not revealed what MediaTek SoCs are found in Evergreen, Evergo, Pissaro or Pissaropro. However, Evergreen and Evergo are part of the same family, as are Pissaro and Pissaropro. Additionally, @xiaomiui asserts that Xiaomi will release Indian variants of Pissaro and Pissaropro, but not Evergreen or Evergo.
Pissaro and Pissaropro both have physical fingerprint sensors though, along with three rear-facing cameras. Apparently, Xiaomi has equipped both with ultra-wide-angle and macro cameras, with the star of the show being Samsung's ISOCELL HM3, a 108 MP camera. The ISOCELL HM3 also has 0.8 um-wide pixels and a 1/1.33-inch sensor, for reference.
By contrast, Evergreen and Evergo have 50 MP primary cameras, complemented by ultra-wide-angle and tele-macro sensors. @xiaomui adds that the pair will use the OmniVision OV50C40 and the Samsung ISOCELL GN1 (S5KJN1), albeit without specifying which 50 MP sensor belongs to which device. Release dates for Evergreen, Evergo, Pissaro and Pissaropro have not yet leaked.
