Xiaomi 12.5-inch tablet leaks with next-gen Xring O3 chipset

Xiaomi launched the Pad 7S Pro 12.5 in China in June 2025. The tablet is powered by the company’s in-house Xring O1 chipset. Now, a leak has revealed initial details about the Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro.
According to tipster Panda is Bald on Weibo, the Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro may feature a 12.5-inch LCD panel with a "3.2K" resolution. The tablet is also said to use the Xring O3 chipset.
There is currently no official information regarding the Xring O3 chipset. However, a previous leak suggested that it may offer significant efficiency gains over the Xring O1. For context, the Xring O1 is manufactured using TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process and features a 10-core CPU and a 16-core Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU. In our testing, the chipset achieved an average AnTuTu V10 score of approximately 2.5 million points.
The Xiaomi Pad 8S Pro is also tipped to pack a 12,000mAh battery and support 120W wired charging. For comparison, the Pad 7S Pro 12.5 (curr. $568.28 on TradingShenzhen) has a 10,610mAh battery with the same charging speed.
The upcoming tablet may feature a 32MP front-facing camera. Its rear camera setup is expected to comprise a 50MP primary camera and a secondary 2MP sensor. There is currently no information regarding the availability and pricing of the tablet.
