Xiaomi officially teases "major new product" ahead of ChinaJoy 2026

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is officially set to attend ChinaJoy 2026. The event will run from July 31 to August 3 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. According to the company, a "major new product" will be revealed at the event.

The device will be showcased at booth N5-02 in the Snapdragon pavilion, suggesting that it may use a Snapdragon chipset. The official promotional image appears to show a smartphone with a wide horizontal rear camera housing. However, the company has not confirmed the exact model name or disclosed any specifications.

Prominent tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the mystery device could be from the Redmi K100 series. For context, the Redmi K90 series was introduced as a high-end smartphone series in October 2025, initially consisting of the standard Redmi K90 and the Redmi K90 Pro Max.

Leaked specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro

A previous leak suggested that the next-generation Redmi K100 series may include a Redmi K100 Pro model. It is expected to feature a 185Hz OLED display. The device may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the same chipset used in the Xiaomi 17 Ultra (curr. $1,250 on Amazon).

Moreover, the Redmi K100 Pro is expected to feature a roughly 8,500mAh battery, 50W wireless charging, and a 200MP main camera. In other news, two new Xiaomi Poco F9 series smartphones have received multiple certifications.
