Xiaomi has expanded its AIoT portfolio by introducing new floor cleaning devices, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 and the Robot Vacuum 5 Pro. Alongside the new vacuum robots, the company has also announced the Xiaomi Watch 4 41 mm, the Xiaomi TV S Pro MINI LED series 2026, the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Glimmer Edition, and the Xiaomi Smart Camera C701.
Xiaomi’s new Robot Vacuum 5 and the Robot Vacuum 5 Pro gadgets, designed to be used for different cleaning needs, feature up to 20,000 Pa of suction power to further remove dust, pet hair, and larger debris. Both models are equipped with the dToF (Direct Time of Flight) smart retractable radar, which allows vacuum robots to reach under furniture with a height clearance of 9.5 cm (3.74 inches).
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 series comes with a self-emptying station, which offers features like 80 °C (176 °F) hot water mop washing, hot air drying, and auto dust emptying. Xiaomi has incorporated a 2.5 L auto-empty dust bag and a 4 L water tank into the base station. According to Xiaomi, the former is capable of holding debris for over 75 days, while the latter offers 400 m² of cleaning coverage on a single refill.
Xiaomi’s self-emptying cleaning robots boast a 5,200 mAh battery, and a full recharge takes around 6 hours. The company claims that both gadgets can clean for up to 140 minutes on a single charge. Like other vacuums, such as the Yeedi S14 Plus (curr. available at $699.99 on Amazon), the Robot Vacuum 5 series also supports voice control via Alexa and Google Assistant. Alternatively, you can also control, tweak settings, and customize cleaning of the vacuum robots via the Xiaomi Home app. Additionally, they come with an extendable dual mop and side brush, which ensure 100 percent corner cleaning, said Xiaomi in its press release.
What separates the 5 Pro from the base model is its triple camera system, which enables real-time home view and obstacle marking. Plus, the 5 Pro model comes with AI obstacle avoidance and AI dirt detection features, which are absent in the base variant. While there’s no camera system in the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5, it uses S-Cross obstacle avoidance technology for precise navigation.
As for price, the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 and the Robot Vacuum 5 Pro are priced at €699.99 and €799.99, respectively. Both models are now available for purchase via Xiaomi’s official website and other authorized retailers.
