Xiaomi confirms more specs of Redmi Note 17 Pro ahead of launch

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Note 17 series, and previously, the company has showcased the design of the Pro and standard phones of the lineup. Now, the brand has confirmed a couple of key specs of the upper-end phone.

Through the recently shared teasers, Xiaomi has revealed that the Note 17 Pro will pack a 9,000mAh battery. This would be a proper upgrade over the last-gen Pro smartphone, which comes with a 7,000mAh battery. The fast charging support has seen an upgrade as well.

Specifically, the Redmi Note 17 Pro has support for 67W wired fast charging, a step up from the 45W support found on the predecessor (100W Anker Prime charger curr. $59.99 on Amazon). The phone can also reverse charge in the wired mode at 22.5W, which will make it act like a power bank if required.

There are a couple of battery enhancements in place, and Xiaomi says that if the health drops below 80% before the fifth year of use, the company will replace it for free. This offer, however, might not be available in the global market.

Other than the battery, Xiaomi has confirmed some display details of the Redmi Note 17 Pro. It's set to come with a "flagship-level" flat screen with a brightness rating of 3,500 nits. While the company didn't explicitly mention it, it will reportedly be an OLED screen.

The display is, however, confirmed to sport multiple eye protection features, including low-light eye protection with brightness as low as 1 nit. Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 17 series in China on July 14, 2026, and a global launch is expected to happen soon.
