Xiaomi announces new affordable wireless earbuds with 50dB noise cancellation

Xiaomi has announced a new pair of wireless earbuds, the Redmi Buds 8. They are set to launch alongside the K90 Max and the Redmi-branded Panther Lake laptop lineup on April 21, 2026. While the company didn't share the complete spec sheet yet, a new teaser has disclosed the core specs.
The headlining feature of the upcoming affordable earbuds is the 50dB noise cancellation. Xiaomi notes that the buds come with 4kHz wideband ANC, promising immersive audio even in challenging environments.
Speaking of which, Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Buds 8 come with an 11nm high-performance dynamic driver setup. It promises "superior" audio quality, and with the comfort-forward design, the company promises a comfortable wearing experience even during prolonged sessions.
Previously, Xiaomi confirmed that these new wireless earbuds will boast an anti-loss and find function. That is, there will be something similar to Find My available on Apple AirPods (Pro 3 curr. $199.99 on Amazon). This would be a welcoming feature, especially given that the Redmi Buds 8 are expected to have an affordable price tag.
Xiaomi has also teased that the earbuds will come with Bluetooth 5.4, and there will be three color options available. The company didn't share the price yet, but this piece of information is expected to be shared soon.
