Reviews for the Xiaomi Redmi 3S

Finally, the Redmi 3S has gotten everything perfect just before the Redmi 4 premiere. With the new Snapdragon 430 chipset and its Adreno 505 GPU the users can enjoy the benefits of OpenGL ES3.1 and a slightly faster performance. The rear-mounted fingerprint scanner is here to stay, too. And, of course, you can get the 3S in a Prime revision with double the storage and 3GB of RAM.

Xiaomi redefined the entry-level segment in 2014 with the Redmi 1S. Two years later, the brand is at it once again with the Redmi 3S. The phone offers a metal chassis, Snapdragon 430, and a massive 4100mAh battery that will last at least two days on a full charge. Combine all of the above with a price that's nearly half of that of the budget Moto G4, and you get an inkling of what Xiaomi is trying to achieve with the Redmi 3S.

Right now the Redmi 3S Pro is available for just an extra £5 over the 3S, but ordinarily we would have said you will struggle to find better value for money than what is offered by Xiaomi's new Redmi 3S. This budget Android phone is feature-packed and capable, and has a new fingerprint scanner. You can't expect any more for £120, just remember that Google Play isn't installed out of the box.
