Xiaomi confirmed that the Civi 5 Pro would have high-end Leica co-branding in earlier previews - now, it has confirmed that the extra logos are for the device's front cameras as well as the rear shooters.
The 5 Pro's Night God selfie shooter (found in a Dynamic Island-style pill set into its 6.55-inch "ultra-narrow equal-depth micro-bezel" display) introduces "ultra-transparent nano-prism" technology to elevate the "photosensitivity" of its 50MP sensor's pixels by up to 25% for improved image quality, especially in low light.
The camera also supports the same on-trend 4K/60fps spec as probable rivals such as the new Oppo Reno14 Pro.
The Civi 5 Pro's triple rear cameras are also equipped with premium Leica Summilux lenses and the same zoom lens as the flagship 15.
The 5 Pro is also backed to land with all-round premium mid-range performance with the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC and 6,000mAh battery - yet is also confirmed to be just 7.45 millimeters (mm) thick.
The smartphone has also been confirmed to land in plain black and white color options as well as Nebula Purple (with an exclusive Quicksand effect) and Sakura Pink.
All in all, Xiaomi has now just validated all those Civi 5 Pro leaks and is allowing fans in China to reserve the new device already - but has yet to reveal exactly when it will launch and for how much.
