Xiaomi 17 Ultra: Details of new global model shown in leaked image

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is already official and available to purchase in China. Released in late December, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is Xiaomi's fourth Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-backed smartphone after the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and the Redmi K90 Pro Max before it.
The time differences between these Chinese releases should not affect the Xiaomi 17 Ultra's global availability, though. In fact, it looks like someone has already received a global unit in some capacity. Posted on X by Abhishek Yadav, the image only shows the upper half of the device. Nonetheless, the model number 2512BPNDAG is visible, which has been linked to the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in previous leaks.
Unsurprisingly, the global model is visibly unchanged from the version that Xiaomi sells in China, right down to the Leica-inspired Leica branding. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra should reach the Eurozone for €1,499 (~$1,769) with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Currently, the device is reputed to receive a global release around the time that Samsung replaces the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,049 on Amazon) with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, too.
