Vivo X300 Max tipped to launch next month alongside Vivo X300 Ultra

At the end of last year, Xiaomi got the jump on rivals like Samsung, Oppo and Vivo by releasing the first Ultra-branded smartphone featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. While not available internationally yet, a recent leak indicates that Xiaomi has already mass-produced global versions of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra to rival the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,049.99 on Amazon) before the Galaxy S26 Ultra arrives.
While we await the Xiaomi 17 Ultra's global release, rumours have already emerged of a Xiaomi 17 Max being in the works. According to Digital Chat Station, Vivo will not be far behind with a Max-branded smartphone of its own. Writing on Weibo, the leaker asserts that Vivo has already started registering the Vivo X300 Max with mobile network carriers in China.
Currently, the leaker has not provided any evidence of this having occurred yet. The model number V2548A should surface in separate leaks within the next month or so though if the X300 Max exists. Based on the Weibo post below, it seems that Vivo may showcase the X300 Max next month alongside the X300 Ultra (V2547A).
The latter is said to receive a dedicated Beidou satellite communication variant too, bearing the model number V2547DA. Meanwhile, the X300 Max is expected to line up with a Dimensity 9500 series chipset, a circa 7,000 mAh battery and a 6.78-inch display. It is currently unclear whether Vivo plans to release the X300 Max globally, though.
