Traditionally, Xiaomi's T-series smartphones offer good value for money and boast a competitive range of features. The latest models are called Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro. Both differ from each other in several ways, which we have summarized for you here.

In terms of weight, the Xiaomi 14T (RRP from 649.90 euros) takes the lead because at 195 grams or 193 grams for the variant with a synthetic leather back cover, the smaller T model is slightly lighter than the 209-gram Xiaomi 14T Pro (RRP from 799.90 euros).

Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra vs. Dimensity 9300+

The most important difference between the two 6.67-inch phones lies in their SoCs. While the Xiaomi 14T features the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra, the Xiaomi 14T Pro uses the faster MediaTek Dimensity 9300+. Example AnTuTu v10: During the system benchmark, the Xiaomi 14T achieved 1,399,064 points during our test, while the Xiaomi 14T Pro scored 2,088,406 points.

Despite the clear difference in performance, the smaller model's power is still easily enough for all applications. During our test, the Xiaomi 14T also proved to be a powerful gaming device, even managing to run graphically demanding games such as Genshin Impact at an almost constant 60fps using the maximum detail setting.

The two T-models each rely on 12 LPDDR5x RAM and are equipped with UFS 4.0 flash storage. The storage variants are different once more. The Xiaomi 14T is available with either 256 or 512 GB of storage, while the Xiaomi 14T Pro is also available in a version with 1 TB.

Camera: Better low-light shots on the Xiaomi 14T Pro

The Xiaomi 14T Pro comes with the better camera setup, as its main camera (f/1.6) is fitted with the Light Fusion 900—a more light-sensitive 50 MP sensor. This makes it better equipped for taking low-light shots compared to the Xiaomi 14T (Sony IMX906, f/1.7). Even the Xiaomi 14T Pro's 50 MP telephoto lens takes the lead thanks to its slightly higher focal length (Xiaomi 14T: 50 mm). On the other hand, the 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera is the same on both phones.

Last but not least, the Xiaomi smartphones differ in terms of charging power. The Xiaomi 14T can be charged at a maximum of 67 watts, and the Xiaomi 14T Pro at up to 120 watts. However, a power adapter is not included in their scope of delivery.
