Xgimi is launching a new version of the existing projector. It promises a decent resolution and can be used without a player. Thanks to the rechargeable battery, it can also be used on the move without any problems.

Xgimi offers the Halo+ in a new model variant, which is available for US$799 on Amazon. This is a minimally updated version of the projector - nothing has changed in terms of the actual technology. Instead, there is a significant improvement at the software level. The new version should now offer easy access to various streaming service providers, as Google TV and the Google Play Store can now be used. This means that Netflix, YouTube, and Prime Video can be installed, for example.

The Halo+ (New) is still a compact projector that is easy to take with you. In fact, it can also be used on the go without any problems thanks to an integrated battery with a capacity of 59.45 Wh. According to the manufacturer, a battery life of up to 2.5 hours can be expected, which would easily be enough for a typical movie. According to the manufacturer, an image between 40 and 200 inches in size can be projected, with an aspect ratio of 1.2:1.

A brightness of 700 lumens is advertised, although Xgimi specifies ISO and not ANSI lumens. The LED light source is said to last for 25,000 hours and the manufacturer specifies a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The latency in gaming mode is specified as a maximum of 27 milliseconds at best. The 171.5 x 113.5 x 145-millimeter projector weighs just 1.6 kilograms and has two Harman/Kardon speakers with an output of 5W each. Automatic focusing and automatic keystone correction are also advertised. HDMI and USB are available as well as a 3.5-mm audio jack.
