Valerion has revealed details of its VisionMaster Pro 2, a new portable 4K gaming projector. It is set to launch on Kickstarter at the end of this month and is expected to cost $3,599.

The VisionMaster Max made its debut a few days back, and now, Valerion has shared details of its new portable 4K gaming projector, the VisionMaster Pro 2. It's a little more affordable option than the Max, which is expected to cost $3,999. The newer offering, in comparison, is expected to have a $3,599 tag.

While the VisionMaster Pro 2 is priced slightly lower, a good number of specs match the more expensive VisionMaster Max. For example, they both have RGB triple laser as the light source and feature a brightness rating of 3000 ISO lumen. The max projection size for both portable 4K projectors is the same as well, up to 300 inches.

Like the VisionMaster Max, the Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 has a good number of gaming features. The new portable gaming projector has a 4 ms input lag in 1080p 240 Hz projection. At 4K 60 Hz, it's 15 ms, which is lower than the competitors like the Epson LS11000 and BenQ HT4550i (curr. $2,799 on Amazon).

Moreover, the VisionMaster Pro 2 is among the few gaming projectors with HDMI 2.1 inputs. As Valerion describes, this means the projector will work with all modern gaming consoles and will even be compatible with future systems that output video at 8K.

Beyond gaming, the VisionMaster Pro 2 is touted to be "incredibly smart," thanks to the MT9618 chipset. The company says that the projector can be seamlessly integrated with many smart home ecosystems, including Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home.

Other highlights of the Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 include support for HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision, dual DTS Virtual:X speakers, and IMAX and Filmmaker modes. As for its availability, this new 4K portable gaming projector is expected to launch on Kickstarter on September 24.
