Xbox teases Cyberpunk 2077 coming to Game Pass soon

Xbox adds new titles to Game Pass every month. Sometimes the lineup includes smaller indie games. Other times, it brings big AAA titles. Now, it looks like Cyberpunk 2077 could be the next major addition to the service.

The tease comes directly from Xbox. The official Game Pass account shared an image of what looks like a staged internal email sent to staff about upcoming games being added to the library. At first glance, it looks normal. But a few details stand out.

The email starts with the line, “Wake up social team.” That immediately caught our attention, as it sounds very close to Johnny Silverhand’s iconic line in Cyberpunk 2077, “Wake the f*** up, Samurai.” 

There is another hint in the same message. One line says, “This latest upcoming addition is gonna be a v good one too,” with the letter “v” written in bold. For anyone who has played Cyberpunk 2077, V is the name of the main character, and bold formatting on a single letter like that feels intentional.

This is not the first time Xbox has teased a Game Pass addition this way. Previously, the company hinted at Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora using a similar style of social media clues before officially announcing it in the next lineup. If Cyberpunk 2077 does join the library, it would be one of the biggest additions in recent months.
