XMG's highly specialized STUIDO workstation can be configured with high-end CPUs from Intel up to the Core i9-12900K and graphics cards up to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090. The PC is optimized for excellent airflow and quiet operation even under high load. To keep the workflow free of any distractions, the XMG STUDIO lacks any additional decorative elements such as RGB LEDs.

XMG / Schenker initially emerged as a quality European laptop OEM, but the company recently expanded to offer desktop form-factor models, as well. Apart from gaming-oriented builds, XMG now offers the STUDIO system specifically tailored for creative audio and video professionals. This new model can be configured with high-end Intel Alder Lake and Nvidia RTX 3000-series GPUs and is optimized for excellent airflow and quiet operation even under high load.

Processor options range from the Core i5-12600K for the base configuration up to a Core i9-12900K for the top-of-the-line version. XMG includes an Asus Prime Z690-P D4 motherboard, which has been thoroughly tested to offer maximum compatibility with many popular audio / video content creation hardware and software solutions. The GPU is optional, as sound designers may not need this component, yet video content creators can equip the system with graphics solutions ranging from the RTX 3050 up to the high-end RTX 3090.

The STUDIO systems support up to 128 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM from the Corsair Vengeance LPX series, while the storage solution consists of three M.2 + three 2.5-inch bays + an optional 3.5-inch bay for a total capacity of 48 TB. Depending on the components, the system can be configured with Seasonic Focus Plus power supplies ranging between 550 and 1000 W.

In order to keep everything cool and quiet, XMG is offering the Fractal Design Torrent Compact case with two massive 180 mm fans. For improved airflow, the STUDIO systems also feature an additional Noctua NF-A 12x25 PWM in 120 mm format at the rear. Builds with high-end GPUs can also be equipped with two extra 120 mm Noctua Chromax fans on the bottom side. For CPU cooling, XMG offers the Noctua NH-U12A cooler, and all fan curves are pre-adjusted prior to shipping to strike a balance between low temperatures and quiet operation.

As far as software compatibility goes, the XMG STUDIO has been thoroughly tested with Windows 11 to ensure that ASIO drivers for professional audio interfaces, DAWs and VST plug-ins as well as game development suites, VR and VJ software, streaming apps and further content creation tools are all working flawlessly and reliably.

This system will primarily be available for purchase on the Bestware.com site, which offers extensive configuration options. The base configuration that includes Intel’s Core i5-12600K with integrated graphics on an Asus Prime Z690-P D4, 2x8 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200, a 500 GB Samsung 980 SSD, a 550W Seasonic Focus Plus and Fractal Design’s Torrent Compact case is priced at  €1,169. A fully maxed out configuration would cost €10,785.
