As we observed in our review of the Wooting 80HE, Wooting's reputation has earned its reputation for good hardware design backed by outstanding customisation and easy to use configuration software. Wooting's Black Friday deal, however, has nothing to do with the 80HE. Instead, it looks as though Wooting is effectively trying to clear out stock of the Wooting 60HE+ modules as the all-new 60HE V2 starts getting into full swing.
For Black Fridays, according to the rather comical Reddit post announcing the deal, Wooting is giving buyers of the 60HE+ a free carrying case and silicone wrist rest. This is Wooting's first-ever Black Friday sale, but this year is apparently different, likely thanks to the launch of the aforementioned 60HE V2. Regardless of the V2, Wooting's original 60HE+ is still a solid gaming keyboard with a lot of modding potential. The 60HE+ deal is available for both the pre-built keyboard and the module, which means you won't be losing out on the deal if you want to customise your gaming keyboard with a fancy Optimum or Alumaze60 case or a set of Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro switches, which are 20% off on Amazon.
The deal works out to an additional $58.98 in free gear. While deals like these are not necessarily as flashy as something like Keychron's up-to 30% off Black Friday deals, if you were already shopping for a Wooting 60HE, there has been no better time to buy one. Another important note is that the deal also applies to refurbished and old stock Wooting 60HE devices from the Respawn Store. This means you can get a Wooting 60HE+ with a free wrist rest and travel case for as little as $131.49.
The Wooting Black Friday sale will only be available while stocks last and until December 1, 2025 at 22:45 GMT.
The Wooting silicone wrist rest is designed to be comfortable, durable, and easy to clean. Since it's made of silicone, it can be cleaned by simply rinsing it in the sink or washing it in the dishwasher. The wrist rest is available in Just Black, Midnight Blue, Just White, and Blossom Pink, and all four colour variants appear to be eligible for the Black Friday deal. The wrist rest is specifically designed to fit the dimensions of the 60HE, which gives everything a neat look, but it also means that if you tend to rest your wrists on a rest slightly past the edges of the keyboard, it might not be the most comfortable accessory for you.
The free carrying case you get with the Wooting 60HE for Black Friday is much like the carrying case that came with the Iqunix EZ63 we previously reviewed. The Wooting travel case is only available in black with yellow accents, matching the stock strap of the 60HE, and it is made with a hard EVA shell with a soft velvet interior for the keyboard to nestle into. Much like the 60HE itself, the case is explicitly compatible with other 60% keyboards "with similar dimensions."
