The Varmilo Foot Keyboard features up to four programmable keys, allowing games to be controlled with your foot or macros to be executed with a toe. Featuring three different layouts and high-quality Cherry MX Black switches, the Foot Keyboard is designed to improve gaming performance.

The Varmilo Foot Keyboard is designed to be particularly useful in shooters, fighting and racing games, allowing frequently used functions to be controlled with the feet instead of the hands. The accompanying software allows each button to be freely assigned, either as a single keystroke or a macro.

Varmilo offers the Foot Keyboard in three different models: two flat models with three or four keys and an F-shaped model with four buttons, one on the left and one on the right of the foot. Each key uses a Cherry MX Silent Black switch with an actuation force of 60 grams and a travel distance of 3.5 millimeters, with the keys triggering after just 1.5 millimeters. These switches are designed to ensure that the keys are not accidentally pressed while the foot is resting on the keyboard.

The PLA housing comes from a 3D printer, and the ABS keycaps have a diameter of 25 millimeters. Like many modern keyboards, the Foot Keyboard can be connected to a computer via USB cable, Bluetooth 5.0 or a 2.4 GHz USB dongle. The polling rate is a respectable 1,000 Hz, and the response time is said to be less than 10 milliseconds. The integrated battery has a capacity of 2,500 mAh. Officially, the Foot Keyboard is only compatible with Windows PCs.

Price and availability

The Varmilo Foot Keyboard can now be pre-ordered from the pre-ordered from the manufacturer's online store, but the first batch is already sold out. Anyone interested can leave their email address instead. The Foot Keyboard costs $50, not including shipping.
