The Withings BeamO Health Multiscan device is now available in the US. This gadget was first shown at CES 2024 and launched in Europe at the start of 2025. Now, thanks to clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the product is also available in the United States.
Withings’ BeamO is a multifunctional device, which can act as a thermometer, an electrocardiogram (ECG) and a stethoscope. This is down to the gadget’s HotSpot Gen2 temperature sensor, two electrodes, piezoelectric sensor and force sensor. As such, the company suggests that you can use the gadget to get a complete health check-up at home in under a minute. It could help users to spot early signs of some problems such as atrial fibrillation (AFib), hypoxemia and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
On the front of the device is a 1.9-inch RGB TFT LCD screen, showing the data collected. Thanks to BLE and Wi-Fi connectivity, this data can be transferred to the Withings smartphone app. From here, you can share your results with a medical professional, should you wish. It is also worth noting that this product is both FSA- and HSA-eligible. The BeamO measures 1.5 x 0.7 x 5.4 inches (~3.7 x 1.9 x 13.6 cm) and weighs 2.8 oz (~80g). It should run for around eight months, recharging via USB-C.
You can now buy the Withings BeamO Health Multiscan in the US for $249.95 at the brand’s online store. Customers get a free Withings+ subscription for one month ($9.95 a month thereafter), and a token for a Cardio Check-up with a certified cardiologist. In European countries like Germany, it retails for €249.95 (curr.€234.99 at Amazon).
