Wyze's Scale Ultra BodyScan has a handle and more electrodes for better measurement but costs more

Wyze's portfolio of products includes a handful of smart scales, which have been quite affordable, with some models, such as the Wyze Scale S, costing as low as $29.98. However, its latest scale, which is called the Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan, is its most expensive yet, with a price tag of $119.98.

The Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan isn't only Wyze's most expensive smart scale, it is also its most feature-packed. The scale, which is available in black and white colors, has a large 4.3-inch TFT color LCD, which is the same size as the display on the Wyze Scale Ultra (available on Amazon for $49.98).

While it is capable of measuring the same number of body composition metrics as the cheaper Scale Ultra, the Scale Ultra BodyScan has a BodyScan handle for professional results. The addition of the handle allows for more electrodes - 8 in total across both hands and feet - twice that of the Scale Ultra.

With the scale, users will be able to measure not just their weight but also bone mass, body water percentage, lean body mass, visceral fat, BMI, protein level, metabolic age, body fat percentage, muscle mass percentage, muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, and heart rate. According to the spec sheet, all metrics can be viewed on the display of the scale, except for heart rate, which must be viewed through the companion app.

The Wyze Scale Ultra BodyScan has a weight range of 11 to 400 lbs or 5 to 180 kg. It is powered by four AAA batteries, which are included in the box, and should provide up to 8 months of use before needing replacement. The scale has Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi, and is compatible with devices running Android 10 or later and iOS 16 or later.

Like previous Wyze smart scales, recorded data can be shared with fitness apps, including Apple Health, Health Connect, and Fitbit. It also has various modes, including pregnancy mode, baby mode, athlete mode, pet mode, and luggage mode. There's also automatic recognition and data syncing for up to 8 users.
