Wyze Scale Ultra arrives with a large color screen and a $50 price tag

Wyze isn't new to making smart scales, but its newest model may be its best yet. The Wyze Scale Ultra, like a lot of smart scales can do more than just measure weight. It can also measure BMI, muscle mass, visceral fat, and more. However, what makes it different from previous Wyze scales is its large color display which eliminates the need to launch the companion app to view recorded health metrics.

The Wyze Scale Ultra has a 4.3-inch color display that displays body metrics instantly. Wyze isn't the first to launch a smart scale with a color display. In September, Xiaomi announced the Mi Body Composition Scale S400 Pro which also has a color display, albeit a smaller 3.5-inch one.

Wyze's smart scale can measure a total of 13 health metrics. It can automatically detect up to 8 users and also has a guest mode. In addition to health metrics, the scale has a baby mode, pet mode, and luggage mode. The Wyze Smart Scale Ultra has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and with the latter, the scale can automatically sync recorded data without waiting for a paired phone to be in range. Wyze has also made its scale compatible with Apple Health, Fitbit, and Google Fit.

The Wyze Scale Ultra is available in black and white, both of which have ITO coated glass and anti-slip feet. It is powered by four 1.5V AAA batteries (included) which Wyze claims should provide up to 9 months of usage. The scale weighs 1.8 kg/3.96 lbs and has a weight range of 5-180 kg/11-400 lbs.
