Although the developers emphasize that AI Confidential is not a game suitable for office use due to its mature themes and adult language, this upcoming title appears intriguing and is not as adult-rated as one might assume. The result of about seven months of intense development by a four-person team, the barely released AI Confidential demo is all about providing a first-person story-driven experience where the dialog system is built using emojis instead of written answers that might sound ridiculous at times, as it often happens in other games.
AI Confidential is the first game by Critical Wit to hit Steam. Although there is no launch date for the full game yet, the demo page contains details about the system requirements and makes it clear that both Windows and Linux gamers can enjoy acting as "Makenzy Turner, an affable RoboTechnician employed by AI megacorp, Indelligent Solutions," who has to deal with both broken parts and broken hearts in an AI-infused world. Accompanied by his assistant, ARI, the player gets to use high-tech tools as well as "old-fashioned empathy" to get the job done.
The list of key features includes classic inventory puzzles, a solarpunk future to explore, the aforementioned emoji-driven dialog system, as well as a rich array of patients to meet and take care of while performing multiple tasks, including hardware repair and virus removal. The minimum system requirements for both Windows and Linux players include a 10th generation Intel Core i5 processor, 16 GB of memory, 5 GB of storage space, and GeForce GTX 1080 or Radeon RX 5700 graphics. In both cases, a 64-bit OS is required.
