Vivo iQoo 16: Leak reveals early details of next-gen flagship phone

The iQoo 15 was released in October 2025 as a performance-oriented flagship smartphone. It was among the first phones to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Now, a leak has surfaced regarding its successor, expected to be called the iQoo 16.
Writing on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, prominent tipster Smart Pikachu has hinted at a revised camera setup for the iQoo's next-generation flagship. The tipster suggests it will use a 200MP main camera along with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. For reference, the iQoo 15 featured a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens.
In our review of the iQoo 15, we noted that its 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera performed surprisingly well. The same sensor is also found in the camera-centric Vivo X200 FE. However, it is unclear what sensor the main camera on the iQoo 16 will use.
The tipster also suggests that the iQoo 16 will retain a 2K display. Meanwhile, the iQoo 16's anticipated rival OnePlus 16 may take a different approach, with leaks suggesting a display with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate exceeding 200Hz.
The iQoo 16 is expected to launch in Q4 2026. As of now, there is no official word on the device, so take the above information with a pinch of salt.
