Vivo has just added another model to its Y200 range, namely the Vivo Y200+, which is now available in China for the equivalent of around $150 for the smallest storage configuration. Information on the price or availability in countries outside China is still pending.
The Vivo Y200+ is most likely aimed at entry-level users with slightly higher demands, such as those who do not want to do without 5G, for example. The Vivo Y200+ supports a number of frequency bands, although LTE band 20, which is important in a lot of countries, is lacking. Two nano SIM cards can be installed.
The smartphone, which is around 8 millimeters thick and weighs around 199 grams, is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and 8 or 12 GB of RAM, while the internal storage is 256 or 512 GB. The 6,000 mAh battery comes with 44-watt charging, which does not count among top charging speeds, but is nevertheless quick. IP64 certification is advertised.
The 6.68-inch LCD screen has a resolution of 1,608 x 720, which is rather meager. The maximum brightness is specified as 1,000 cd/m² and the refresh rate as 120 Hz. The main camera has a resolution of 50 MP and the front camera 5 MP. Unlocking is possible via either a side-mounted fingerprint sensor or facial recognition. OriginOS 4, based on Android 14, is installed as the operating system.
