Vivo X100 Pro Plus tipped to launch as series-first 200MP camera smartphone
Vivo is projected to join the race to launch the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered device as soon as that new top-of-the-line Qualcomm processor is announced. This might transpire in the form of a direct successor for the X90 Pro Plus (or Pro+), a flagship now said to come packed with camera hardware to match its new silicon.
The tipster Fixed Focus Digital has posted a list of specs thought to pertain to the X100 Pro+ due to the Vivo-esque nature of its rear camera upgrades. The leak forecasts a triple rear camera hump with the IMX989 that debuted in the X90 Pro+, albeit one equipped with new variable aperture technology in this alleged iteration.
The "X100 Pro+" has a telephoto lens, too - one with a sensor of the class-leading 200MP resolution, no less. The tertiary shooter is a 50MP IMX758 for portraits. The putative next-gen flagship smartphone is also now believed to have one of Vivo's generous ultrasonic fingerprint readers and IP68 ingress-protection.
