Vivaldi finally hits iOS
Introduced in late January 2015 on Linux, macOS, and Windows as a preview build and unleashed in its first stable public release in early April 2016, Vivaldi reached the mobile world in April 2020, when version 3.0 arrived for Android devices. Now, Vivaldi 6.3 is the first stable version to reach iOS and iPadOS.
While mobile browsers are usually limited compared to their desktop counterparts, Vivaldi for iOS comes with a rich set of features packed inside an user-friendly tab interface. The list of highlights includes desktop-style tabs, panels, speed dials, as well as ad and tracker blocking capabilities. In the panels list mentioned above, the user can access the reading list, the Notes tool, as well as the browsing history, downloads, and bookmarks.
All users of Vivaldi for iOS who are using the browser on other platforms can sync browsing data (bookmarks, history, saved passwords, autofill information) alongside their speed dials and notes securely with the desktop, Android, and even car versions.
Although it has only been available on App Store for three days, Vivaldi already got 76 user reviews that led to a general rating of 4.7/5. The download size of the current version is 173.9 MB, and the system requirements mention iOS 15.0 or later for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
