The latest Vivaldi Browser for desktops is now available, and it carries the same long version number, which is 7.6.3797.52, for macOS, Windows, and Linux users alike. While there's much more to it than the Tab Button, this update's most obvious change is the solid improvement in the tab management area. Specifically, users now can take advantage of a fully customizable tab bar, while the aforementioned button allows them to search open tabs, synced tabs, as well as recently closed tabs, all accessible in one view.
In addition to the tab management features mentioned above, this update also includes the following:
- Cleaner context menus, which have been decluttered and are now featuring only the core options that most users need.
- The ability to search certain keywords in the tabs, bookmarks, or in the history category from the address field.
- Trackpad or touchscreen swipe gesture support on Windows devices.
- Popup rule support and a few minor optimizations for the built-in ad blocker.
- Hibernated tabs now wake up faster than before.
For now, the mobile versions of the browser are still stuck at version 7.5. In addition to the above, Vivaldi 7.6.3797.52 also irons out several crashes on macOS, some search errors that occurred on all platforms, and various other bugs.
