Ultimea has been providing home audio solutions and is set to launch the Aura A50 Pro, a soundbar-based system featuring two additional speakers and an external subwoofer. This setup is designed to help the sound system produce spatial audio. Ultimea calls it a 5.1 system. The soundbar itself is equipped with three drivers, whilst the satellite speakers each contain two drivers. All these drivers measure 2 inches in diameter, and the woofer measures 4 inches. Wiring up the system isn’t very convenient, requiring users to run a cable to every single component. Many other soundbars at least support wireless audio transmission to the subwoofer.
The Aura A50 Pro 5.1 supports Dolby Atmos and can be hooked up to an audio source via an optical or aux connection. It also features a USB port and an HDMI eARC port, offering a modern interface for connecting to a source device, particularly a TV. Audio can be transmitted wirelessly from a smartphone over Bluetooth 5.3, which also enables an app to be used for controlling the audio system and configuring advanced options.
The product is available directly from Ultimea for $150 with free shipping included. The company is also offering a $10 early bird discount. The Aura A50 Pro is scheduled to start shipping in January next year to the US and Europe, followed by the UK and Canada in February.
