Ultimea Nova C40: Compact projector comes with smart functions, encapsulated optics and a huge discount

Ultimea already has a number of projectors on offer, including the C40, which has been available at Amazon for a little while now. There, it is currently discounted by 40% for a total of $299.99, down from $499.99.

The Nova C40 comes with a fully sealed optical unit, which aims to prevent negative effects on image quality otherwise caused by the ingress of dust, for example. The device is an LED projector, which is advertised with a brightness of 600 ANSI lumens. Ultimea specifies the native resolution as 1,920 x 1,080, but as is so often the case, the projector can also handle 4K material. It is said to be able to reproduce 95% of the NTSC color space. 

The projection ratio is specified as 1.25:1 and a projection diagonal of between 80 and 120 inches is recommended. Projections can not only be made on walls, but also onto ceilings. Automatic keystone correction and automatic focus make it easy to set up, while the contrast ratio of 1,000:1 ensures attractive reproduction for scenes with high-contrast content. The projector can receive image signals via HDMI and an external player is not necessary: Android TV 11.0 is pre-installed, allowing access to Netflix and Prime Video, for example, and the installation of numerous apps.

Two speakers with a power output of 5 watts each are installed, and external speakers can be connected via a jack plug or Bluetooth 5.3. The remote control supports voice control. The model consumes up to 75 watts during operation.
