Ugreen intros affordable Anker AeroClip 2 rival with 46-hour battery life and LDAC support

Ugreen has launched an affordable rival to the Anker AeroClip 2, the ClipBuds Pro 2. The company has collaborated with Terri Lyne Carrington for these clip-on earbuds, and claims that this collaboration has made the new open earbuds capable of delivering "natural balance, nuanced detail, and expressive rhythm."
Beyond the fancy sound claims, the Ugreen ClipBuds Pro 2 have Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, primarily due to LDAC codec support. On devices that can take advantage of this codec, which excludes all the iPhone models, this should lead to higher sound detail, better clarity, and less compression loss over regular codecs like AAC or SBC.
The company highlights that the ClipBuds Pro 2 come with an 11mm "titanium composite" driver. Paired with the dual-magnet system, this setup is said to deliver "fuller bass" and a wider sound profile. With directional acoustics, these clip-on earbuds promise minimal leakage, and their lightweight design should lead to all-day comfort.
Speaking of which, the earbuds have a rated runtime of up to 10 hours, while the total battery life rating with the charging case is 46 hours. Ugreen highlights that the ClipBuds Pro 2 support fast charging, promising 3 hours of runtime with a 10-minute charge.
Another notable aspect is that the ClipBuds Pro 2 come with dual VPUs (Voice Pickup Units) and a four-microphone setup, which are claimed to effectively isolate the user's voice from the background. Anker's SoundCore AeroClip 2 also has a similar setup, and they are known for delivering strong call clarity.
Price-wise, the ClipBuds Pro 2 have a retail price of $99.99, making them cheaper than the Anker SoundCore AeroClip 2, which go for $169.99. Ugreen is, however, currently offering the open earbuds for $79.99 as a part of the launch promotion, making them even more affordable.
