Every year, Ubisoft prepares a number of new games, and although the publisher has decided to abstain from several conferences this summer, it's not because it wants to leave gamers in the dark. And according to some reports, the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is still on the cards.
According to PC Gamers, Ubisoft briefly mentioned the title during its latest meeting with investors. In response to a question about the role of the company's new identity, CFO Frederick Duguet provided the following details: "As you know, our catalog includes several iconic brands that we can activate or reactivate with minimal investment. This is the case for the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which will be released very soon, or Splinter Cell , which will follow later".
As you can see, the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is due for release in the not-too-distant future. And yet, Ubisoft has issued no statement on the subject, leaving fans of the license in complete doubt. Not to mention that no date has yet been announced by the company. However, this confirms Ubisoft's previous assertions that the next game in the Prince of Persia license was due for release in fiscal year 2025-2026. As such, it will be possible to see this game on sale by March 31, 2026 at the latest.
So, at this stage, all we can do is wait for official announcements from this company. And this, whether in the coming weeks or months. Consequently, several hypotheses can be put forward, such as a presentation at Gamescom on August 19, or an exclusive presentation, specially dedicated to Ubisoft and this new title. We'll be keeping a close eye on Ubisoft's announcements on social networks, which could provide even the tiniest details about this upcoming game.
