Turtle Beach launches Vulcan II XP Air wireless gaming keyboard with gesture sensor

Following the Gamescom 2026 unveiling of the Vulcan II XP wired gaming keyboard, Turtle Beach has now released a wireless version called the Vulcan II XP Air. Along with wireless connectivity, the company has added a gesture sensor for controlling media with hand movements.

The Vulcan II XP Air is a full-size wireless mechanical gaming keyboard with pre-lubed Titan HS Red linear switches. These switches actuate at 1.8mm and have a 45-gram switch force. They are also hot-swappable, and the board is compatible with both 5-pin and 3-pin switches. The keyboard supports ReacTap functionality, which prioritizes the latest key input. It also comes with tri-mode connectivity, including 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, and USB-A. Unlike other high-performance gaming keyboards, the Vulcan II XP Air is capped at 1,000 Hz polling, which is perfectly fine for gaming.

What sets the Air apart from the wired version is the AirTrack Gesture Sensor, which is essentially a camera that is angled to face the user. This allows controlling media with hand movements and enables presence detection to help save battery. Speaking of which, there is a 6,000 mAh battery inside, and Turtle Beach claims 2,000 hours of use with RGB lighting and AirTrack disabled. If both are turned on, it is said to last up to 95 hours.

Vulcan II XP Air comes with a detachable soft wrist rest, dedicated media controls, a volume dial with press-to-mute, and a brushed aluminum top plate.

The wired version, Vulcan II XP, skips the AirTrack gesture sensor but allows for choosing either linear or tactile switches at purchase. It also comes in two color options, black and white.

Priced at $200, the Vulcan II XP Air is available for pre-order from the official store. The Vulcan II XP is priced at $150, and both will launch globally on October 25.
