Bentley Torcal makes its world debut as the brand's first all-electric vehicle
Bentley has unveiled the Torcal, its first all-electric model. The luxury SUV features an 800-volt architecture, up to 876 hp of combined output and 400 kW DC fast charging. It puts Bentley in direct competition with other vehicles in the ultra-luxury EV segment.

Key features of the Bentley Torcal:

  • Up to 876 hp and 996 lb-ft of torque: Dual-motor all-wheel drive accelerates from 0 to 100 kph (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds
  • 400 kW fast charging: The 113 kWh battery charges from 10 to 80 percent in around 16 minutes
  • 373 miles of WLTP range: The 800-volt PPE platform is designed for long-distance driving

800-volt technology and 400 kW charging

The Torcal is Bentley's first production battery-electric vehicle. Built in Crewe, it uses the jointly developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE). In the range-topping Torcal S, two electric motors produce a combined 876 hp (653 kW) and 996 lb-ft of torque. A 113 kWh usable battery provides up to 373 miles of WLTP range. At a compatible charging station, the SUV can draw up to 400 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 16 minutes.

Fully active suspension and luxury rivals

To manage the vehicle's weight, Bentley has fitted a fully active suspension system alongside rear-wheel steering for the first time. Inside, curved OLED screens largely replace analog controls. The Torcal also offers a synthetic driving soundtrack and a 28-speaker, 1,780-watt Naim audio system. It will compete with the Rolls-Royce Spectre and Lotus Eletre, while sharing much of its underlying technology with the upcoming Porsche Cayenne Electric.
