Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Headset Gen 3 gaming headset with dual USB wireless transmitters for consoles and PCs launches for $199
Turtle Beach has announced the third generation of its Stealth 700 headset and has begun taking pre-orders. The new Stealth 700 Headset (Gen 3) has been redesigned, featuring a steel-reinforced headband and metal yokes, with a mix of leatherette and fabric-covered memory foam. It also boasts a new uni-directional flip-to-mute mic with AI noise reduction, 60mm Eclipse dual drivers, and a battery life of up to 80 hours with quick charge.
What makes the Stealth 700 Headset (Gen 3) special is its approach to cross-platform usage. Turtle Beach ships the headsets with two USB wireless transmitters, so users can plug one into their PC and the other into their console; and with the press of a button, quickly switch between devices.
In addition to wireless connectivity, the headset also has Bluetooth 5.2, so you can pair it to your phone or Steam Deck. And with simultaneous wireless and Bluetooth, you can keep enjoying audio from the game while streaming audio from your phone. The independent volume controls lets users adjust the volume for each audio source.
The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Headset (Gen 3) is available in three variants. There's an Xbox version that comes in Black and Cobalt; a PlayStation version that is available in Black and White; and a PC version that can be purchased in Black. While each variant is priced at $199.99, choosing which one to buy can be confusing.
The Xbox version is compatible with PC and PlayStation (PS4 & PS5) but the PC and PlayStation variants are not compatible with Xbox. However, you can connect the PC version to your PS4/PS5 or connect the PlayStation version to your PC. The PC version also supports 24-bit/96kHz Hi-Fi audio and has a 16-bit/48kHz mic whereas the Xbox and PlayStation variants have 16-bit/48kHz audio and 16-bit/16kHz microphones.
Turtle Beach is taking pre-orders on its website but won't begin shipping the product until September 22.
