Total War: Rome II - Rise of the Republic now up for pre-order
Back in early September 2013, SEGA released Creative Assembly's Total War: ROME II - Emperor Edition, a game that has a very long list of campaign packs available. The last one, simply called Desert Kingdoms Culture Pack, arrived in early March 2018. Now, the time has come for the Rise of the Republic Campaign Pack to become available for pre-order, although the new content will be unlocked on August 9.
The campaign is placed in 399 BC, when Rome's "very existence balances on a knife-edge." The leaders and forces that collide in this period include Marcus Furius Camillus, the Gallic Senones tribe of chieftain Brennus, Syracuse and the tyrannical Dionysius, as well as Taras, led by the great philosopher-statesman Archytas.
In addition to the above, we should also highlight the introduction of post-battle loot, a new ‘government actions’ tool, as well as new technologies. All in all, the new content and the changes that come with it promise to make each faction attractive and replayable long enough for Creative Assembly to cook up another update.
For now, those interested can grab "Rise of the Republic" for US$15.29, 10 percent less than the regular price of US$16.99. The deal will end in 19 days, so be quick about it. However, it would also be great to share some Total War-related memories with us in the comments in the meantime.
